Fred Meyer Coupon Policy…Finally!

Fred Meyer has released a Coupon Policy!

I recommend printing it out & keeping it with your coupons, just in case you run into any problems. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Catalina coupons that are printed with another retailer name may be accepted at Fred Meyer.
  • We accept valid, current print-at-home coupons…We do not allow print-at-home coupons that do not require any other purchase. (Notice: They are NOT excluding SmartSource, which many people often have problems with).
  • We do not accept competitor’s coupons.

Keep in mind…

  • Coupon policy is subject to change at any time
  • Coupon acceptance is still ultimately up to the Store Manager

Thanks, The Coupon Project for the head’s up!

I won’t evem bother with Fred Meyers now. Their checkers become flustered when presents with a handful of coupons and sometimes they forget to scan some. Pure aggrivation waiting in the customer service line to staighten out my register tape. There are better buys at Walgreens, RiteAid and Albertsons. =)

    Hi Crystal,
I don’t know if you know this but each Fred Meyer are individually owned so the coupon policies are different at each store. Our Fred Meyer, out here in the Valley and the CDA store, do take competitor’s coupons as long as it isn’t a free product and the money off a particular product is stated on the coupon. Just wanted to give you a heads up, since I talked with the manager at the Valley store about it and some of the cashiers.

At one time a manager of the Kennewick store told me they don’t accept printed coupons that are not in color… Since then I have forgotten that a few times and used black and white printables without any problem… But I’ve never had any problems like that in Richland.
